Reflections and Updates: After careful consideration, I am not overly concerned that students will be overwhelmed by these tools. They will be introduced slowly, each tool building on the ideas presented in the module. This course takes place over a full semester of high school, which equates to about 5 months. I chose tools that are relatively easy to use, and that students have free access to. In fact, as I am reworking the course, I have actually added to the list! (Videonot.es and MindMeister) Tutorials and tips will be provided for any tool that requires it, and I am confident students will navigate the different tools just fine. Providing various ways for students to interact with each other, the content and myself will help to build a sense of community. Some tools some students will like, some others will like, and hopefully, with a variety of tools, each learner will find a way to interact with the course that best fits their needs. |
